FAQ
Common questions
KILOSPEC turns your birth date and place into a vertical data poster: a personal “launch spec” you can hang or share.
What do I receive?
You get high-resolution digital files (PNG and PDF) sized for a 10×30 inch print, plus the option to order a physical poster shipped within the United States. What you pay for at checkout is listed there: digital files, and if you choose it, a printed poster sent to the address you provide.
Do you use my exact birth time?
No. The spec is built from your calendar date and the city or region you give us. It is a stylized snapshot of that day in history, not a medical or astrological reading tied to the clock time you were born.
What kind of information is on the poster?
Each poster is labeled so you know what you are looking at: seven bands that together tell the story of that day and place—sky, scale, and context—plus a short historical note from the same calendar date. A line may read “unavailable” if we cannot resolve something for that year or location. The fine print on the print explains how to read it.
What does the QR code do?
The code on the print opens a simple page that shows your spec online and offers a link to explore the year in context. Nothing plays automatically in the browser.
Where do you ship posters?
Poster checkout is currently limited to U.S. addresses. Digital downloads are not region-locked.
